Reżyser, scenarzysta i producent filmowy. Debiutował w 2002 roku kryminałem „Czkawka”, który został uhonorowany Europejską Nagrodą Filmową w kategorii odkrycia roku. Zarówno ten film, jak i „Taxidermia” z 2006 r. były węgierskimi kandydatami do Oscara. Za swój poprzedni film „Swobodne opadanie” z 2014 r. Pálfi dostał nagrodę dla najlepszego reżysera oraz nagrodę specjalną na festiwalu w Karlovych Varach. „Głos Pana” to największy projekt w karierze węgierskiego reżysera.
A director, screenwriter and film producer. He debuted in 2002 with the crime scene “Hiccup”, which was awarded the European Film Award in the category of the discovery of the year. Both this film and “Taxidermia” from 2006 were Hungarian Oscar candidates. For his previous film “Free Fall” in 2014, Pálfi received the Best Director award and a special award at the festival in Karlovy Vary. “His Master’s Voice” is the largest project in the career of the Hungarian director.

Młody mężczyzna poszukuje swego ojca – profesora matematyki Petera Hogartha, który zaginął podczas pracy nad tajną misją rządu Stanów Zjednoczonych. Projekt ten dotyczył rozkodowania, przetłumaczenia i zrozumienia transmisji od inteligentnych istot pozaziemskich. „Głos Pana” bazuje na fascynującej powieści Stanisława Lema o tym samym tytule. György Pálfi, reżyser znany z wyczucia do wprowadzania w filmach groteski i surrealizmu, tym razem zadaje najważniejsze pytania o istotę świata i naturę człowieka.
A young man is looking for his father – a mathematics professor Peter Hogarth, who was missing while working on the secret mission of the United States government. This project was about decoding, translating and understanding transmissions from intelligent extraterrestrials. “His Master’s Voice” is based on the fascinating novel by Stanisław Lem of the same title. György Pálfi, a director known for his sense of grotesque and surrealism in films, this time asks the most important questions about the nature of the world and humanity.
