Oliver Laxe
Reżyser, scenarzysta, aktor urodzony w 1982 roku. Studiował na Uniwersytecie Pompeu Fabry w Barcelonie. Laxe jest współzałożycielem firmy Zeitun Films. Zadebiutował filmem „Wszyscy jesteście szefami”, który uhonorowano nagrodą FIPRESCI na festiwalu w Cannes. Na tym samym festiwalu w Tygodniu Krytyki miał premierę jego kolejny film „Mimosas”. „Siła ognia” jest jego drugim pełnometrażowym filmem fabularnym.
A director, screenwriter, actor born in 1982. He studied at the Pompeu Fabry University in Barcelona. Laxe is a co-founder of Zeitun Films. He made his debut with the film “You All Are Captains”, which was honored with the FIPRESCI award at the Cannes festival. At the same festival in the Week of Critics, his next film “Mimosas” premiered. “Fire Will Come” is his second feature film.

INFORMACJE O WSTĘPIE NA WYDARZENIA
„Siłę ognia” otwiera scena nocnej wycinki drzew eukaliptusowych. Amador – główny bohater – wychodzi z więzienia za podpalenie lasu. Wraca do matki Benedicty i codziennej rutyny. Piękny krajobraz Galicji zagrożony jest przez cywilizacyjny postęp i ludzką bezmyślność. Laxe skupia się na tematach rzadko obecnych w kinie – śmierci, starości, przemijaniu. Film zdobył Nagrodę Jury w sekcji Inne Spojrzenie na MFF w Cannes.
The “Fire Will Come” is being opened by the scene of the night cutting of eucalyptus trees. Amador – the main character – gets out of prison for setting a forest on fire. He returns to his mother Benedicta and to the daily routine. The beautiful landscape of Galicia is threatened by civilization progress and human thoughtlessness. Laxe focuses on subjects rarely present in the cinema – death, old age, evanescence. The film won the Jury Award in the Other Views section at the Cannes IFF.
